creating a safe place for LGBTIQ+ people of faith.

Pastoral Care

We provide holistic pastoral care for LGBTIQ. A model of emotional and spiritual support related to cultures and traditions for Black African Caribbean origins. Support on the journey to self-acceptance while exploring personal and psychological problems related to sexual orientation and gender identity.

Spirituality and Faith

We support LGBTIQ individuals reconcile their sexuality and spirituality by providing printed teaching resources and other materials for the on what the bible says positively and inclusively about homosexuality. There are also teaching aids and booklets for devotional.

Asylum Seeker’s Support

House Of Rainbow provides a safe place for LGBTIQ asylum seekers. We provide free consultation and a chargeable service for the preparation of “witness statement” to support claims. Where we can, we visit asylum seekers in detention centres and work effectively to understand their stories and document their journeys.

Peer Support

We provide peer support for LGBTIQ people living with HIV. The stigma, shame, denial and discrimination associated with HIV means that MSM and sex worker population are routinely and systematically left out of the care provision, particularly in Africa.

Campaigns Workshops and Training

Using evidence-based resources, we provide a range of seminars on important health topics such as sexual health, mental health, faith and spirituality.

Hate Crime

House of Rainbow supports Black and Brown LGBTIQ victims of hate crime, we support reporting and documenting hate crime incidences. No one should feel attacked due to their sexual orientation, gender identity, faith or race.

Sexual Health

House of Rainbow provides sexual health advice, materials and resources. We support our members through a crisis by making referrals.

The foundation of our work is to create a place of safety for black LGBTIQ+ people of faith.
